| Robert McIntyre | Started Prestwick High in 1950 - first teacher was Miss Wallace in Primary One if memory serves me correctly. and went all the way through to 1962. I have recently found some old class photographs - often wonder where people are now a days. | |
| Robert (Bob) Little | Started in the High in 1953 in Primary One with Miss Wallace. Went right through until 1964 when I left with 5 O-Levels. (I know!)
Started in 1953 with Walter Gallan; Drew Gibson and David Turner. We all lived in Highfield Avenue. (I think) Drew's younger brother,John still lives there on the corner. Drew went to Australia and Walter is now back in Prestwick. I often wonder whatever happened to all my secondary fellow pupils: - Robin & Kirsty Veitch; Drew Carlisle; John Duncan; Norman Pattulo; Mike Provan; Glen Anderson; Ian Seaton; Myron King; Pat Firth; Sandra McKissock(?); Dorothy Hawthorn; Norman Thompson; Eric Prentice, to name but a few! Where are you all these days?
| Jim Knox | I have class photographs 1960 / 1961 (first + second year ?) & a whole staff photograph (circa 1962) a rare item? | |

In fact I went to Ayr Academy with her niece, Marie Dudek. I won't bore you with reminisces
at the moment but would love to communicate with you later if you have any specific questions.

| Annette Manhire Maiden name :- Hart | I live in London now but visit my parents in Prestwick quite frequently. I well remember 'Fatty Wallace' - she appeared to own only one dress as I recall - a green floral dress. I also remember quite sadly, that Miss Wallace retired the same year our class left Prestwick High and she died later on that year - possibly teaching was the most important thing in her life? All the best to any old classmates out there - it was probably 1955 I started in primary one at Prestwick High - seems like yesterday!! | |

We had an upstairs classroom during 1960 and I well remember watching all the aircraft coming in from Spain and Germany full of supporters for the 1960 European Cup Final. Saw Biff McCartney in the high Street when I was up a couple of years ago.

| Kenneth Caskie | What an amazing page! I found it quite by chance. I started in Prestwick High in 1955 - yes, "fatty" Wallace held us in check. I enjoyed reading the articles and will get in touch here and there. I love the comment about my Dad (The Rev.Donald Caskie) jingling the keys in his pockets during prayers. It drove the family to destraction. I see quite a number of entries from my brother's class (Roderick Caskie). Greetings by proxy! Yours Ken Caskie | |

| Morag Thow | I went to Prestwick High Primary and then on to the 4th year. My last 2 years were at Ayr Academy. I have mostly happy memories of School of sport and art!! We were the first primary to go into the new wing at the high school we had to go into huts for primary 6 and 7. Most of the time in primary I spent looking out the window at the airport and wishing I was out running about. There was the 11+!!!and I ended up in the B class. There were some interesting teachers and methods of teaching!! I remember Mr Pollock we were all scared of him especially me as my spelling was so bad. Mr Scott amd Miss McCarrison were great PE teachers. I loved botany and the walks with Miss McGuire to look at the wild floweres. I have been back in Prestwick a few times you can really EAT your way along the Main ST most of the old shops have gone. I was talking to someone from Prestwick do you all remember Childrens Week? We got a donkey dide, a picture show at the Broadway, an icecream, a go on the wee train, entry to the swimming pool, a go on the big swing I think that was all? A very happy place to grow up | |
