Bob McIntyre

I have been involved in the Scout Movement since the age of 8, and for my sins, have held a number of positions at District, Area and Regional level.

Past Area Adviser for Public Relations

Past District Explorer Scout Commissioner (Kyle & Carrick District)

Past District Adviser for Public Relations (Kyle & Carrick District)

Past District Adviser for International matters.

Explorer Scout Leader - Phoenix Explorer Scout Unit, Kyle & Carrick District, Ayrshire

and the latest appointment

Assistant Regional Commissioner (Communications) South West Scotland

I also had an involvement with the UK Scout Associations web site Scoutbase.

In past years I have become involved with a number of Explorer Belt Expeditions to Europe and a number of International camps in Scoutland - The Blair Atholl Jamborette as well as a number of other events in the UK.

As of July 2010, I have retired from my a full time job.
Since 1970 I have work with a local Aircraft Manufacturing Company where I reached the ranks of Manufacturing Engineering Manager until the closure of the plant in March 1998.

As of April 1998 I worked for another Company maintaining aircraft maintenance manuals - still based in Prestwick, the Company under contract to provide authors to BAe Systems.

In September 2000, I had the opportunity to take employment again with BAE Systems, within the Technical Publications Department where I had previously been sub-contracting.

Now a man of Leisure - but no doubt someone will find me something else to do....

Always pleased to hear from you so feel free to E-Mail me.
