The next sequence of Module Training days was held on Sunday 27th February at Loans with Leaders undertaking modules 12, 15 17, 20 and 23.

5 teams from the Area took part in the Area Soccer 7's on Sunday 13th March. A team from the 7th Ayrshire (Maybole), 1 from the 18th (Ayr), 2 from the 28th (Troon) and 1 from the 100th (Alloway) played at the Whitletts Centre amidst the occassional snow shower.





Three Troops from Kyle District took part in the annual event at Dundonald. After a short session on knotting, teh teams were set the task of building a stand-a-lone flag pole and then a working Ballista.
A very close event with the girls from Dundonald just taking the edge and beating the lads from Tarbolton and Troon who came second equal.

Return to top of pageAyrshire Scouts were represented amongst the 247 Scouts that invaded Arran on the 29th for 3 days of fun and adventure. The camp was held just outside Lamlash where many of the activities were, but some activities such as sailing, rafting, abseiling and a visit to the Arran Ice Cream factory were off site.

Return to top of pageAround 500 Ayrshire Scout Leaders, friends and their families had an excellent afternoon at Culzean Camp Site on Sunday 15th May. There were plenty of activities for the youngsters whilst the leaders mingled, chatting and recollecting various events over the years.

Return to top of pageHeld on Saturday 21st May at Whitletts, the winners of the Tournament were 18th Ayrshire "B" team (Ayr)and second place were 100th Ayrshire (Alloway).

Scouts, Explorers Scouts and leaders from most Districts were represented
at the Commeration Service on Saturday 11th June at Wellington Square,
Ayr.
2 Leaders and 2 Explorer Scouts from Kyle district recently helped out in the 2005 Glasgow Disabled Scout Summer Camp at Auchengillan.
There were just over 100 at the camp, including 30 wheel chair users.
The Glasgow Disabled Scouts are always looking for helpers, both for their weekly meetings and at their camps. There are a number of Ayrshire Leaders and Explorers who do help when ever possible at the weekly meetings as well as the camps.
